This folder contains letters and other mail sent to Jack Bradley during the 00's from Phoebe Jacobs, Current (as of 2010) Executive Vice-President of the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation. Contents include: Copy of a fax sent from the Director of Communications of the Executive Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations on July 20, 2001, including a statement from Secretary-General Kofi Annan inaugurating Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans forwarded to Jack by Phoebe; various memos detailing where Jacobs will be in case she needs to be reached; undated, handwritten invitation to Jack Bradley to visit the Louis Armstrong Archives; Jacobs's handwritten request for Bradley to create a fact sheet on Louis because the current one is "too vague"; copy of a press release about the opening of the Louis Armstrong House Museum, sent directly from Phoebe; copy of a letter to Bryan O'Dwyer about the Jazz Foundation of America, also sent to Bradley (along with an attachement from Jacobs, "Projects Originated and Developed By Me"). |
