This box contains 24 undersized periodicals owned by Louis and/or Lucille Armstrong between 1943 and 1976. Issues include: After House - June 30, 1973 - Picture with caption announcing Lucille Armstrong as Festival Queen of the New Orleans Jazz and Food Festival at the Rainbow Room on the back cover. Book Digest - October 1974 - Nothing related to Louis. Bulletin du Hot Club de France - Juillet-Aout 1964 - Informal picture of Louis on inside cover; French review of Hello Dolly on page 14. Bulletin du Hot Club de France - Septembre 1971 - Issue devoted to memory of Louis Armstrong. Three staff-written articles, p. 1-10. Louis Armstrong's In New York heads best of the month chart; gives cuts on the recording on p. 16-17 Contact - Vol 1, No. 4, 1960 - Opens with a spread of photos Jerry Stoll took of Louis at the 1958 Monterey Jazz Festival and a concert at San Francisco’s ”Longshoremen’s Hall” in 1959 with a brief summary titled ”Louis, You’re a Goddam Jewel.
