One in a series of folders dedicated to material dealing with Jack Bradley's personal business affairs. This folder contains numerous permissions to use Bradley's photographs and artifacts in a variety of settings. Includes correspondence with Garrard Publishers about Bradley's use of photos in the American edition of Hugues Panassie's Armstrong biography; letter from Bradley to the "Saturday Review" giving permission to use photos; letter from Bradley to Mark Wilder of Sony, sending along various issues of "Louis Armstrong Plays W.C. Handy" to be used on a 1997 compact disc reissue; letters to "Ms. Traineau" and "Ms. Youngling" about using Bradley's photos; agreement signed by Lucille Armstrong and George T. Simon, using photos from Bradley's collection for possible use in a book; agreement with Laurence Bergreen to use photos in his Armstrong biography; agreement to use three Bradley photos in the book "People of Destiny"; signed agreement with trumpeter Lou Colombo to use Bradley's Selmer trumpet; signed contract with Ira Gitler from 1969 about using some of Bradley's photographs, sheet music, records and books; and many other such transactions. |
