Description |
Scope: Excerpt from the Bing Crosby, Chesterfield television program. Recordings of sound recordings. Louis and Lucille talking and reading. Louis and the All Stars perform at Club 150, San Francisco, California. Photos on the tape box includes images of Louis and the All Stars with Velma Middleton, Trummy Young and Billy Kyle. Originally meant to be cataloged in ”Tape Catalog #2, Part 1” (see Manuscripts, 1987.2.23), but Louis passed away before entering the details. Contents (as on compact disc reference copy): Track 1: Excerpt from the Bing Crosby, Chesterfield television program: "In My Honey's Loving Arms" (Bing Crosby); Track 2: Louis and Crosby talk; Track 3: "I Surrender Dear" (Bing Crosby); close of program. Track 4: Recordings of Armstrong sound recordings: "Fireworks"; Track 5: "Two Deuces"; Track 6: "Symphony Raps"; Track 7: "Savoy Blues"; Track 8: "Skip the Gutter"; Track 10" Saint James Infirmary"; Track 11: "Knee Drops".
