Scope: Recordings of sound recordings (Louis can be heard in the background). Originally cataloged in "Tape Catalog #1" (see Manuscripts, 1987.2.22). Collage on front of the box features various Swiss Kriss-related clippings, including a telegram signed from "Mr. and Mrs. Swiss Kriss." Photos on back of tape box include one of Lucille, multiple of just Louis's head, and clippings from an article about Louis Germany from March 1959. In Tape Catalog #1 so it's part of Louis's 1959-1960 re-cataloging of his tape recordings, but all of the recordings are from 1957 and it includes the same Ben Webster albums that appeared on1987.3.110 and were presumably dubbed in early 1958. |
