Description |
Complete script for "World, Take a Holiday," the musical play written by Dave and Iola Brubeck that would eventually become "The Real Ambassadors." Title page lists a copyright of 1959 (the album was recorded in 1961 and a condensed version was performed at Monterey in 1962) and states, "This Musical Play was written expressly for Louis Armstrong and Carmen McRae." Lists possible alternate titles as "Blow Satchmo," "Everybody's Coming" and "Ambassador." Script is for both acts and is a total of 78 pages. Includes lyrics to all the songs written for the play.
