This box contains 12 periodicals featuring Louis Armstrong between 1970 and 2000. Issues include: Rhythm & News - Issue 985 - There are only short mentions of Louis in numerous advertisements for compact discs, as well as a quick mention in a piece about Ken Burns's "Jazz." Roaring Jazz Crooner Chronicle - December 1978 - Photo of Louis on p. 7 in connection to a story on Louis De Vries. Johnny Simmen, "A Few Souvenirs of Louis De Vries," in "Roaring Jazz Crooner Chronicle," December 1978, p. 7-8. Sarasota Jazz Sounds - November-December 2000 - Mentions an award, "The Satchmo," being given out on a jazz cruise, p. 4. Satchmo - Collector's Copy - Special magazine published after Louis's death.
