This box contains 50 prints of Louis Armstrong offstage from 1945-1960. Images include: Many photographs of Louis backstage with unidentified fans; also appearing in photos are Velma Middleton, Lucille Armstrong, Sid Catlett, Doc Pugh, Trummy Young and others; photos of fans holding Armstrong's trumpets; Louis posing with fans at the Blue Note in Chicago; photo of Louis and friends autographed "To the Nice Mrs. A, Your dear husband, Satch"; photo of Louis eating inscribed to "Clarence Robinson, that producing man" (possibly Clarence Robinson, a producer at Cafe Zanzibar, where Louis performed in New York City in the mid-40s); photos of Louis and fans autographed by the fans to Louis; photo inscribed, "To Aunt Lucille, With all my love. I love you very much. Your loving niece, Elizabeth Wilson"; photograph with a long inscription by M. J.
