This box contains 37 prints of relatives of Louis Armstrong, including two wives, Lil Hardin and Alpha Smith, his adopted son Clarence, and his sister Beatrice ("Mama Lucy") as well as his managers, Johnny Collins and Joe Glaser. Images include: Beatrice "Mama Lucy" Armstrong and her husband at the ceremony renaming the Singer Bowl as Louis Armstrong Stadium; Louis and his manager Johnny Collins (Louis has written "Satch + Johnny Collins. Ex Manager."). Images of Lil Hardin Armstrong include: Lil and Louis in New Orleans club, c. 1931, with Papa Celestin; publicity shot, autographed to Janet [Phipps], 30 June 1952; publicity shot, c. 1950, autographed to Charlie [Phipps], 30 June 1952; playing a piano; backstage with Louis, Lucille and Mezz Mezzrow in 1955.
