Description

Ceremonial drum presented to Louis on the occasion of his first visit to Southern Rhodesia. Placque reads, "This drum was presented to Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong by De Black Evening Follies of Salisbury on the occasion of his first "Jazz" visit to Southern Rhodesia on 16th November 1960 Pro Bono Publico." Made of one solid piece of wood.
